With the 100th episode nearing, The CW has confirmed that Wentworth Miller will reprise his fan-favorite role as Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, for the very special installment of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
The episode will be directed by Caity Lotz and is set to air on October 27, making it the third episode of season seven. However, unlike the previous ninety-nine hours, this one will be told entirely from the viewpoint of Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton), who is also coincidently set to become a flesh-and-blood series regular sometime this season.
Executive producer Phil Klemmer explains to TV Line, “The whole episode really is predicated on memory and Gideon’s memory. It occurred to us, in being forced to do a retrospective of 100 episodes, that Gideon, really, is the only person who saw everything. Obviously, Sara Lance has been there from the very beginning, but she’s just a person. There were things that she missed. And so, we were really excited about going back through the seasons and sort of tracking the evolution of the show and doing that through Gideon’s eyes.”
While Captain Cold will surely be a welcome sight, it sounds like he might not be the only special guest star to pop in during that milestone hour.
