To prevent their own assassinations, the Legends head back to their youths to save themselves from the warpath of The Pilgrim. However, problems arise when they actually come face-to-face with their younger selves and Rip suggests taking them to an orphanage that specifically caters to Time Masters. Check out the new extended promo below:

RIP’S BACKSTORY IS REVEALED – The team is targeted by The Pilgrim (guest star Faye Kingslee), a deadly assassin who wants to erase the Legends from the timeline by killing their younger, non-superhero selves. As a protective countermeasure, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides Sara (Caity Lotz), Snart (Wentworth Miller), Rory (Dominic Purcell), Professor Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax (Franz Drameh) need to kidnap their past selves first before The Pilgrim gets to them. Coming face-to-face with the younger versions of themselves proves to be both a physical and emotional challenge for certain members of the team who would rather forget their past. Rip tells them he has a refuge for their precious cargo – an orphanage that raises future Time Masters and where he himself grew up. Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Chris Fedak & Matthew Maala (#112).

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

@ENigmaShow - Also, I'm hearing the Jonah Hex episode was actually good? I'll have to wait to watch it on Hulu tonight.

I think the show overall is decent. And anytime your dealing with time travel things get a little wonky, but it seems Rip Hunter is not forthcoming with all the nuances of time manipulation. He's been giving new info here and there though out the season. Even now that Rory knows more about it than the rest of the team, he seems to be a little tight lipped about it too.

I think this show is a blast and should rotate heroes in and out more - they need to dig deep and get into some cool characters - they waited too long for Jonah Hex. But I'm still watching and liking the team dynamic.
