PEACEMAKER Actor/Stunt Double Reveals That Batman AND Cyborg Were Going To Cameo In The Finale - PHOTO

One of the actors and stunt doubles who worked on Peacemaker has shared a behind-the-scenes photo confirming that they were set to serve as a stand-in for Ben Affleck's Batman in the recent season finale.

During a recent interview, Peacemaker writer and director James Gunn was asked if he considered including Batman and Cyborg alongside Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash as part the season finale's huge cameo. He responded by saying, "There are reasons for it, but I’m actually uncertain whether I can say what those reasons are. It might have to do with future stuff."

While Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller reprised their roles as Arthur Curry and Barry Allen, respectively, Superman and Wonder Woman were left in the shadows. This was obviously because Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot were unavailable, unwilling to appear, or simply not needed. But why weren't Batman and Cyborg in the scene when they're part of the DCEU's Justice League?

Warner Bros. moving on from Cyborg after everything that's happened with Ray Fisher isn't a surprise, but Ben Affleck is going to return as Batman in The Flash later this year. As a result, it's not as if him being among the heroes hidden in the shadows would undermine The Batman and Robert Pattinson!

Well, we now know that Gunn did originally shoot the entire League because actor/stunt double Matt Turner has revealed that he was going to suit up as the Dark Knight in place of Affleck. "After that epic [Peacemaker] finale I can finally post this. Sadly I (& Cyborg) were cut from the final edit. Why? Only [James Gunn] & [Warner Bros.] know that."

"While it's disappointing to be scrubbed out, this was still a blast, and a dream come true to wear the suit," Turner said. "Big thanks to everyone involved!" Gunn tends to be pretty vocal about stuff like this on social media (he recently debunked claims that Bane will be Peacemaker season 2's big bad), so we'll let you know if he responds to this reveal.

Why do you think Batman and Cyborg ended up on the cutting room floor?
