While we wait for an update on Netflix's live-action Sandman series, fans of Neil Gaimen's family of pale-skinned personifications can look forward to a new animated short featuring Morpheus' big sister, Death.

The full list of bonus features that'll be included on the Wonder Woman: Bloodlines Blu-ray have been revealed, and DC Showcase: Death is among them.

The animated short film is produced and directed by Sam Liu (Justice League vs. The Fatal Five) and written by J.M. DeMatteis (Batman: Bad Blood). The story will focus on Vincent, an artist with unresolved inner demons, meeting a mysterious girl who helps him come to terms with his creative legacy … and eventual death.

Leonard Nam (Westworld) will voice Vincent, while Death will be brought to life by Jamie Chung (The Gifted, Big Hero 6).

The disc will also include The Cheetah: Ferocious Archenemy featurette, and a sneak peek at the next DC Universe Animated Movie, Superman: Red Son. You can check out the recently released Wonder Woman: Bloodlines trailer below.

Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) returns to voice Diana for the sixth time. Here, the DC heroine prepares to do battle with the formidable Silver Swan (Marie Avgeropoulos).

Swan won't be the only villain Wondy will have to contend with, however. Other Villainy, Inc. members include Giganta, Cheetah (both voiced by Kimberly Brooks) and Doctor Poison (Courtenay Taylor).

The rest of the voice cast is made up of Jeffrey Donovan as Steve Trevor, Michael Dorn as Ferdinand, Ray Chase (Lead Bandit), Mozhan Marno (Dr. Cyber), Adrienne Moore (Etta Candy), Cree Summer (Hippolyta), Nia Vardalos (Julia Kapatelis), and Constance Zimmer (Veronica Cale).

Extended Clip

Finally, we have an extended clip which looks like it may actually be the movie's opening sequence. Here, Diana rescues Steve Trevor from the ocean when his plane is brought down by what appear to be Parademons.

I really wish DC would use her and the rest of the Endless more often.

I think it would be interesting to see Doctor Manhattan interact with the Endless. I feel like there is a story waiting to be told, if DC was to use them more.

@BlackIceJoe - I think less is more with that group. Plus, there's an Endless comic.

I didn't know the DC Showcase stories were still being produced.

Sound very cool and Jamie Chung is gorgeous, I liked her in her limited time in Gotham.

They should get rid of this mediocre animated universe and go back to their old style of animated films from before The Flashpoint Paradox.

This New 52 animated universe has a mixed track record at best, every film has to have the exact same style (even if it doesn't fit the comic that's being adapted), the voice acting is usually subpar, and the writing hasn't been great.

The universe itself is also more poorly developed than the DCEU. It went from a Justice League origin movie to a Batman movie to another Justice League movie, with so many characters showing up without even being established first.

The Batman: Hush movie was [frick]ing atrocious, and several great comics have already been wasted by this universe. I'm still annoyed that they butchered the Court of Owls storyline.

At the very least, make only one film in this universe a year and have the rest be standalones. And stop giving great comic book storylines to this universe, because they have wasted every single one except The Judas Contract and Death of Superman.

Death of Superman was also the first Superman movie in this DCAU. So what's the point of having a shared universe exactly?

Man, I am so glad they brought back the Showcase shorts. And DC's Death is awesome, but sadly underused, so I'm always glad to see more of her.
