Watch The First Episode Of The CW Seed's VIXEN

Watch the first 4-minute episode of the new, animated CW Seed series, Vixen. If the animated series garners enough viewers, we should expect Megalyn Echikunwoke's Mari McCabe to show up on either The Flash, Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow for live-action 'superheroics'.

Vixen is executive producer by Arrow's Marc Guggenheim. The animated web series will consists of six, short episodes on The CW Seed. CSI and The 4000 actress Megalyn Echikunwoke plays the titular role. Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Emily Bett Rickards and Carlos Valdes all voice animated versions of their CW characters. The series will follow McCabe after her parents are killed and she inherits the Tantu Totem - a magical item which bestows its wielder with the power of various animals.

Vixen was created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner in Action Comics #521 (1981).

The animated web series occurs during episode 3 of Arrow, between episodes 15 and 16.

Nah, thugs are forgettable. You gotta be short and to the point so they can get kicked in the face and progress with the heroines intent to save lives. If somebody is going to rob another person for that dollar store looking necklace then "Gimme yo necklace B" is basically all you need to show how depraved that person is. Criminals are all about selfish intent so cutting corners is okay. This series looks really good, I like the animation quality.

That art was great and I love that it's adult oriented. I'm intrigued but they gotta make these longer. 5 minutes per Ep. is ridiculous

Vixen can do a lot of cool things. Outrunning the Flash isn't one of them. Come on! Flash can run faster than a gazelle!
Not sure why they called this an episode. It's not long enough to entertain. Maybe they should try ten or fifteen minute segments, but I think I'll wait til its done to watch them all at once.

vixen outrunning the flash was hard to swallow but other than that it's watchable. I hope she gets the orange suit by the end of this. oh and man arrow was pointless in that chase scene wasn't he?

Not bad, very entertaining. Love the doors that this opens. There are so many characters that should get their own animated web-shows. Atom, Hawkman, Constantine, etc.

Not bad at all. If this doesn't make it to a live action spin-off, which they said if they did it would be a while, then they should at least do a full on animated series, with the stars of Flash, Arrow, and legends popping in.

It didn't seem like much of an episode. Will all episodes be 5 minutes, or are longer episodes on the app? It didn't delve into the story. It is like a possible end, and a possible beginning at the same time. It kind of seems like it could be an intro of an episode, but not much of a transition. The first few minutes have been the promo for this. If the episodes will all be the promos, it won't be good. It will need to be longer and have some substance.
