HBO In Talks For A Seventh AND Eighth Season Of GAME OF THRONES

The sixth season of Game of Thrones is the most highly anticipated yet, especially as it's now overtaken George R.R. Martin's novels, meaning that we're all in the dark about what's next for Jon Snow and company. Well, none of their stories will be wrapping up just yet as Deadline is reporting that HBO is in talks for at least two more seasons of the hit series. This two season order is exactly what happened when the cable network brought Game of Thrones back for a fifth and sixth batch of episodes, so don't be surprised if we hear something official pretty soon. Earlier this year, HBO President Michael Lombardo was quoted as saying: "David (Benioff) and Dan (Weiss) are feeling there’s probably two more years after Season 6, that’s what we’re looking at right now,. We hope that they would change their mind, but that’s how they are feeling now." The big question now of course is whether or not the whole thing is going to end with a movie. What do you guys think?

My guess is we see Dany head towards Westeros in season 7. Jon too. Season 8 is the climatic battle between everyone and is the end.

Just speculation.

I bet Winds of Winter still won't be out by the 8th season.

Season 8 will spoil the start of the final book. Then they'll take a couple years of to film the movie and GRRM can play catch up.

The days of the seven kingdoms are over! Let Westeros scatter and become independent kingdoms again.

this is what happened to dexter. they kept milking it and saying there would be more seasons and i just quit.

the show will still be a hit and people will watch it till the end but i will wait till its over to watch the rest. i think i am half way through season 2. not in a hurry.

I think that the best candidates to rule over the seven kingdoms are Tyrion and Jon.

@AlaRebelde Both Aegon and Dany could fit the Prophecy as well.

My wife and i love this show. We both wish they were longer seasons. 10 episodes a year is torture.
