I really want Jack Gleeson to get more work. Even though we all hated Joffery, it just shows how amazing this kid is as an actor.

Jack Gleeson has said recently that after his role with GOT was over, he wanted to quit acting altogether and focus on charity work.

Okay... so ASOS was split into two seasons (3 and 4) and, this isn't really a spoiler, AFFC and ADWD were meant to be one book that was split into two with some POV characters absent from one book or another. Obviously they would mesh the POV stuff in both books (as the events in AFFC and ADWD take place concurrently) together... given that it would then be even bigger than ASOS and GRRM needs some time does that mean we will get 3 or 4 seasons for AFFC and ADWD? If so, is 4 seasons good or an overkill?

And if the last two books require 2 seasons we're looking for 10-12 GoT seasons in total.

@BoomTubeB

Supposedly, HBO and the producers have settled on only 7 seasons.

I still think it's better to mash AFFC and ADWD together to make one tight/cohesive season. Yes the books are huge but less things are covered in it than in entire ASOS of which I found very understandable (and a good choice) two seasons were made of.

As being said, characters don't appear in AFFC but do in ADWD and vice versa, it takes place at the same time. So to mash them together is only logical. However, for a lot of characters, there doesn't happen enough or interesting enough things to spread out not over one season, but two if that's what they're going to do. I fear they will.

Having read the books, I know that this is going to be the best season yet. You can know, shit went down and we've only seen two episodes! It's gonna get even better, trust me. Although, I wouldn't cheer if they really did made two seasons of AFFC/ADWD… Especially next season is going to be a real tough job.

D&D said they envisioned it as 7 or maybe 8 seasons. 7 would mean we're halfway of ASOIAF. Eight would mean we're halfway when this season ends.

However, very importantly, it's all about TWOW (book 6) and ADOS (book 7). Those books have to be freaking good! I loved the first and the entire third book (which is ASOS and is my favorite) and I hope GRRM finally makes some big decisive decisions in TWOW (book readers know what I mean) and would prove for a very very VERY interesting season!

I hope D&D and GRRM can work it out. Lately read somewhere that TWOW is meant to come out after this summer…… If only.

@Nomis

I've read on the fan theories like stuff in regards to *SPOILERS*R'hollor and the Great Other with Lightbringer and shit along with a better understanding of what Ice and Fire may really represent*SPOILERS*

Though I haven't read the books (yet) the title of the last book has me intrigued. We have a rough idea of what may be explored in TWOW but the last one? I guess the question now is which is going to be the endgame threat, the White Walkers or Daenerys... also I read on some of Bran's stuff from stuff past book three... [frick] the storyline I give the least shit about is going to get interesting!

"I still think it's better to mash AFFC and ADWD together to make one tight/cohesive season."

Since each season is not simply a book, I'm sure they'll do that. And in fact I believe I've read as much.

I also expect it to get tighter as they get deeper too, since the books meander more and more as they go on.
