While it wasn't exactly a shocker that Kit Harington's Jon Snow would be brought back to life before season's end, it was still a welcome surprise to see the fallen Lord Commander rejoin the land of the living in the final moments of Sunday's installment of Game Of Thrones. Following the episode, HBO released three behind-the-scenes featurettes offering a look at some of the episode's most pivotal moments. Check them out below:

Plus, HBO has officially released a clip of the intense scene where Tyrion visits the dragons:

Episode #53 (season 6, episode 3): “Oathbreaker”

Debut: SUNDAY, MAY 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Arya (Maisie Williams) trains to be No One. Varys (Conleth Hill) finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.

Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Dan Sackheim.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.'

An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Game of Thrones returns May 8

Really? That's a gigantic spoiler to have in the thumbnail. Thanks a lot. Was going to watch the episode tonight.

The more we go, the more the "appropriate" time for "spoilers" is reduced. S7 be like "oh you haven't watch it? But it aired one hour ago!!"
And I don't even speak for me cause I seen the episode.

Please remove the thumbnail picture immediately. What were you thinking putting that in there? Come on man..

Hard to complain about this post having spoilers when the episode came out two days ago. If you haven't seen a highly anticipated episode and had avoided the many discussion posts on social media and search engines about the episode then maybe you just don't want to know what happened.

It will be interesting to see what direction the Night's Watch goes after Snow's resurrection. Will they execute Ser Allister and the rest of the traitors? Will they completely dissolve all together? And what will happen when Sansa gets there? Will Ramsey really try to attack Castle Black in search of Sansa? Will a possible Ramsey attack unite the Wildlings and Crows together to fight the Bolton Army? So many possibilities for storylines for the next few episodes, but the resurrection was surely a game changer.
