X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Actor James Faulkner Joins GAME OF THRONES Season 6 As Sam's Father
The Tarlys are coming to town! HBO's Game Of Thrones season six has officially confirmed the castings of three actors to portray Samwell's stern father, his kind-hearted mother, and his younger sister. Come check it out! The hit fantasy series returns Spring 2016.
Samwell Tarly better get his affairs in order fast, because his family is on the way to pay him an extended visit.
The Watchers On The Wall have learned that the upcoming sixth season of HBO's hit fantasy series Game Of Thrones has filled out Sam's family with James Faulkner (X-Men: First Class), Samantha Spiro (From Hell), and Rebecca Benson (Macbeth).
As for their roles, HBO confirmed yesterday that Faulkner will portray Tarly patriarch Randyll, Spiro will portray Sam's kind-hearted mother Melessa, and Benson will portray Sam's younger sister Talla. They join Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter), who was previously announced as Sam's brother Dickon, to round out the family.
Outside of Stannis revealing that Randyll Tarly was the only man to ever defeat Robert Baratheon in battle, not much is yet known about Sam's family and/or what kind of role they may play in Sam's life next season.
