AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Enter A Time Storm In The New Promo For Season 7, Episode 9: "As I Have Always Been"

Time loops seem to be all the rage right now, and it looks like S.H.I.E.L.D. will be tackling them next when their ship gets trapped in a time storm and forces Daisy to relive the day over and over again.

Following in the footsteps of Groundhog Day, Edge of Tomorrow, Happy Death Day, and most recently, Palm Springs, it looks like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will find themselves trapped in a time loop when their ship gets trapped in the middle of a massive time storm, forcing Daisy (Chloe Bennet) to relive the day over and over again.

However, it appears as though she won't be the only one to realize what's going on as Coulson (Clark Gregg) is also aware of the dire situation and really seems not to be all that pleased with being forced to watch everyone die repeatedly while Daisy struggles to find a solution.

I think this has been the best season. I really wish we would get another mini season or movie. The situations they come up with feel very original and interesting. I'm looking forward to next week's episode. A timestorm is a cool idea.

This is starting to become the best season so far. Hopefully it wraps well.

So are we supposed to ignore the fact that they have been totally messing up the time stream? Even though they said they have to be very careful as to not mess it up... how exactly are they going to go back to 'their' future when its pretty much been altered already.

This is why shows should not do time traveling, just full of paradoxes

@Beartastic25 - see that's the thing with this show and the MCU...once you mess with time, it's altered, period. The movies tried to make it look like ok, be careful and we won't screw up time. But if you listen to Bruce, he tells you how it's going to work. It also adds another layer to the multiverse, which is the overall goal of Marvel now. It lets you tell stories in our original timeline and character set and now alternate versions of both, as well as new ones. It doesn't invalidate what happened in 616 (basically) or it's past.

You just have to look at time travel and the paradoxes as an advantage storytelling wise and not a handicap

@Beartastic25 - Or you just wait till the season plays out and have faith that the writers know what they're doing and will explain it

@Beartastic25 - I agree on tine travelling mostly being a bad idea. But since it's being done I am going to suspend my disdain and just enjoy it. Over the preceding seasons they've earned that much slack imo.

I can't say I was much of a fan of their removing the bounce-back effect of Yo-Yo's power. It just added a nice twist to the standard GoFast skill set. Did enjoy the Therapy-Fu session, though. Some people need a boot to the head to get out of their funk, and some people need it literally.

Malick Jr is definitely being built up nicely. The hand-made buffers around his arms were a nice bit of attention to detail.

@Reeds2Much - Yea I’m going to miss the bounce back. It was a really cool quirk.

@Reeds2Much - I dont mind them doing that to her powers since its the final season. Might as well give her full speedster powers at this point. Its a nice evolution of her and her powers.

I'll be curious to see if they can top most of the causality loop episodes of Start Trek with this one.

What is up with the ladies superheroes getting caught in time loops?

Zari in Legends Season 3.

Nora in Flash Season 5.

Now Diasy here in the final Season.

It's kind of a funny pattern.

I hope they go around time and keep picking up characters from past seasons before they died

I loved the Street Fighter Movie Reunion in this episode. Great to see Jiaying again. My favorite new duo May and Yo-Yo. Nathaniel Malick and Kora the new Hydra power couple. Also glad Yo-Yo realize she doesn't have to bounce back ever time she use her speed and now could use her speed without any side effects. I wonder happen to Li in the original timeline. Crazy Daisy fought her mom in the original timeline now she has to fight her half big sister in the alternative timeline.
