Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television."

I'll bet this episode ties into TDW. The electrical stuff going on looks like the truck floating in the first TDW trailer.

Still waiting for this show to actually not suck

The episodes just seem too quick. Nothing has any chance to develop or be explored.

Once is gets started they begin wrapping up the episode.

And then its a whole new episode - no cliffhanger, no reoccurring characters outside the main team - just a whole new episode.

So each time it starts up we have to start all again.

I sense an identity crisis, but the shows that it aspires to be were made.... in the 90's.

Too bad Marvel doesn't have the rights to Spidey characters, this will probably be some Electro knock-off.

I watch the show only because it's available on Hulu. Let's me catch up at my leisure. It's definitely nothing to write home about yet. The best episode was definitely Graviton.

I'd love to see them bring in Tinkerer. Night Nurse would be another great character (if they're not saving her for the Dr. Strange movie)

Exactly this show is a joke. Not to mention the cast SUCKS.

A Moon Knight episode could also be awesome. Use the Huston run as basis... A non-powered vigilante is carving crescent shaped moons in his victims' foreheads. And at the end of the episode just leave it ambiguous as to whether he's actually talking to an Egyptian God or just batshit crazy.

either some electro knock off, or a wheapon, or graviton is back.

All the acting leaves something to be desired but Clark Gregg is by far the absolute worst.

Unless he turns out to be a LMD in which case his robotic acting now is nothing short of brilliant. I'm not holding my breath though.

What about that part at the beginning of the Thor trailer where the truck is floating in midair? Might be related, and would explain why the delayed this episode until the week of Thor's North American release.
the acting in this opening wasn't great or anything, but as for the main cast- brilliant whedon shows have had more off-putting actors than this.

this show is failing because they are trying to make them look like fashion plates. Greg looks cool in the suits but the rest of them are shield soldiers and should be wearing the standard uniform. Don't stray away from the source material.

Yeah wish they stuck to the sources. But I feel some of the Hate for this show is unwarented. It has been far from aweful. People just expected Avengers 2.0 it seams. Its not great, but look back to Arrow season 1 and see how horrible it started. Now look at how good it is. Takes a little itme for shows to get going, let it work. the last thing they need is the true fans to hate on their TV. Then we get no moon knight, daredevil, heroes for hire, ect. ect.
