'Deathlok' Heading To AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.; Details On Sif's Role In The Series

According to information coming out of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TCA panel, J. August Richards' Mike Peterson will soon be undergoing a radical transformation. Deathlok is coming to the ABC series on February 4th! We now also know why Thor: The Dark World's Sif comes to Earth.

A classic Marvel Comics icon who is celebrating his 40th anniversary this year, Deathlok will be brought to live-action life for first time ever on the all-new episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." premiering Tuesday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

Transformed into the cybernetic solider against his will, Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) must struggle to find the man in the machine. With a high-tech eye that allows him to see through walls, super strength and increased speed courtesy of a cybernetic leg, will Deathlok fight alongside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or against them?

"We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story," said Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell. "We're thrilled to have J. August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favorite Marvel character on the show."

"If you would have asked when I was nine-years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a super hero and I'm so excited to be one now as an adult on TV!" added J. August Richards. "It's a dream come true."

Yeah I knew right from the first episode that Peterson was going to end up as the cyborg deathlok, If anything the show has been that predictable (eyes rolling).

Nice to see headway is being made on it feeling like it actually exists in the MCU. As a fan of Richards since his Angel days this can only mean great things for him and more likely than not a promotion to series regular if there is a season 2 ...which, whether the ratings suck or not, will most likely happen. We have this show until at least Avengers 2 ...probably longer. Hopefully now Coulson's transformation leads to what I think it leads to.

All this is good news. Should make for good TV. Lorelei was a very good character. I had hoped we'd see more second tier characters on the show.

Seriously, not to call anybody out but, after seeing Peterson in (pieces) how could you not think about Marvels famous cyborg?

I think what really needs saying is how people are already crying about it, predicting the worst without seeing first. The number one bitch has been "no superheroes". Now that you're getting one some are crying that it will look cheap! Seriously people don't shoot think before you write about how stupid you're going to look?

I actually agree with you. We're going to see Enchantress in Thor 3. She's long over-due now imo. Unless Thor 3 is Ragnok, that could be epic!!

also ,i want to give massive kudos to Clark Gregg ,that guy is a great actor, especially the last two episodes, he has been kicking ass and the guy is a true geek like us, he owned jim starlin Warlock comics, he wants to direct an episode of the iron fist series on netflix. just a cool dude
