First Official AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Image Features Jason O'Mara As Our New Director
We still don't know his name, but we do have an official look at Irish actor Jason O'Mara (Life on Mars, Terra Nova) as Phil Coulson's replacement in the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. Director. Check it out...
Many fans assumed Coulson would be replaced as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. by a familiar face (most likely May), but we recently found out it'd actually be this fella. The character remains nameless for now, but the first official still from season 4 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gives us a look at Jason O'Mara suited up as the new team leader.
All we have to go on is that he will be an established comic book character, "whose roots go back to the 1940s." O'Mara himself dropped a extra little hint during an interview with TV Line: "It's a manly name. Yes, a very manly name."

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, Sept. 20 on ABC, in the new time slot of 10 p.m./9 p.m. Central.
