Alexandra Daddario And Lance Gross Among Those Eyed For JESSICA JONES And LUKE CAGE
Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil is still shooting for a 2015 debut, and now a list of candidates has emerged for the roles of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in their upcoming shows. Among them are Arrow star Jessica De Gouw, Mike Colter and more! Hit the jump for the full list...
According to Deadline, Marvel have begun testing actresses for the role of Jessica Jones in the upcoming Netflix series from Melissa Rosenberg. Those invited in by the studio include Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow). An actress between the age of 25 - 33 is apparently wanted, and this is a great list of talented stars in that age range. Jessica Jones focuses on, "a superhero suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes."
The site also have some details on Luke Cage, revealing that he will first appear in six or seven episodes of Jessica Jones before being given his own series (it sounds like Iron Fist might come fourth after Luke Cage). Two named mentioned as being under consideration are Lance Gross (Crisis) and Mike Colter (The Following). Who would you guys like to see take on these iconic roles?
