Concept artist Warren Manser ("The Dark Knight Rises") has a great collection of concept art that he created for Mark Steven Johnson's ("Ghost Rider") 2003 superhero film Daredevil. The film starred Ben Affleck ("Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice") as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Jennifer Garner ("Butter") as Elektra Natchios and Colin Farrell ("Total Recall") as Lester Poindexter/Bullseye. Below, are some alternate costume designs for all three. I especially like Elektra's trademark red costume better than the black leather getup she wore in the film. There's also alternate red and dark grey/black costumes for Daredevil, which should pique your interest.

Daredevil (2003) - For Daredevil, justice is blind, and for the guilty, there's hell to pay! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner ignite dangerous sparks and nonstop thrills in this dazzling action-adventure about the newest breed of superhero. By day, blind attorney Matt Murdock (Affleck) toils for justice in Hell's Kitchen. By night, he's Daredevil, The Man Without Fear - a powerful, masked vigilante stalking the dark streets with an uncanny "radar sense" that allows him to "see" with superhuman capabilities. But when the love of his life, fiery Elektra Natchios (Garner), is targeted by New York City's ruthless Kingpin of crime (Michael Clarke Duncan) and his deadly assassin Bullseye (Colin Farrell), Daredevil may be about to meet his match. Featuring Iron Man director Jon Favreau as Foggy Nelson.

Well I am one of the few that actually enjoyed Daredevil, the costume was awesome as well.

I really feel IMO that Elektra's character or who portrayed her is what brought the film down.

But that being said I also enjoyed Elektra........ not for Elektra but for the baddies.

Literally any of this would've been better than what we ended up with.

@MsDarkPhoenix

LOL! I agree they needed an exotic actress very thin to portray Elektra not J Garner.

This movie gets too much shit. Spider-man had just come out, and the superhero craze of the 21st century was taking off. X-Men was clean, Blade was hyper-violent and irreverent, and Spider-man had pulled off a pretty colorful mix of action and drama. The Star Wars prequel trilogy was showing us how much of a disappointment they could be with little more than special effects to deliver, and the Lord of the Rings was proving to be a great international success.

Daredevil wasn't necessary - it was an exploration. A passion project that 20th Century Fox seemed to be inexplicably against, and the director had to fight to get things going. Mark Steven Johnson wasn't exactly a veteran filmmaker, and it showed, but considering how opposed the studio was to the movie, I would say he did a pretty good job.

Ben Affleck and Jon Favreau had great banter the whole way through, obviously Jennifer Garner and Ben had some chemistry considering this is how they met and got married, and Colin Farrel (who I can't stand) was actually pretty amusing. Michael Clark Duncan was a terrific Kingpin, though he was written to be very two-dimensional as both a character and the villain. I enjoyed the little details that pop up in the director's cut (some were also in the theatrical version) like Matt sleeping in a bathtub to keep the noise out, folding his bills a certain way, pulling out a loose tooth in the shower, opening his medicine cabinet to reveal quite a few painkillers, adding some epsom salt to his "bed" - you can tell there were some great intentions to ground the character.

That first pic of Bullseye is insanely epic.

Let's be honest the problem was Electra. The movie simply wasn't designed for her and the Directors Cut acknowledges it. Nothing wrong with the DD suit. The concepts pretty much have them trying to just make the design more exciting.

Daredevil is not a bad movie,Directors Cut is a pretty decent CBM overall.
Garner was good but would have been better wearing a red outfit & hair dyed black..how hard would that have been to do?
Also, cut out the silly sparing in playground scene, that was annoying.

The director's cut is more watchable and, yes, that playground scene annoyed the shit out of me.

The Daredevil suit is one of my favorite CBM suits. The movie wasn't that bad either. I think people just like to go overboard when something isn't perfect.

@NeoBaggins - Oh, yes, it is. The characters weren't represnt right, there too many plot holes and it was all round goofy. It wasn't the worst, but it still was bad.
The costume was pretty badass
