Back in May, we first received word that Hot Toys was designing and developing brand new figures based on the second season of Marvel's game-changing Netflix Original series Daredevil. They announced plans for highly detailed collectible figures based on Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear and on Jon Bernthal's scene-stealing vigilante, the Punisher. We don't have a beat on the second one just yet, but earlier this morning, they officially unveiled their upcoming Daredevil figure and it's arguably one of their best yet.

Also, according to their Facebook post, the figure will be available to view at their booth at San Diego Comic-Con, so if you're attending, be sure to pay Booth #1929 a visit sometime before the end of the weekend. Check out the figure below:

"Marvel's Daredevil" is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.

Daredevil will feature:
Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page
Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson
Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple/Night Nurse
Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher
Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios
Stephen Rider as Blake Tower
Scott Glenn as Stick
Peter McRobbie as Lantom

Daredevil season 2 is live on Netflix NOW!

Look at that beauty....

However, I think Hot Toys/Sideshow Collectibles's prices are simply ridiculous. Yeah, you get all the details and such, but how many people out there can actually afford those?

I love the show, but the costume is crap. There I said it. Charlie Cox deserves better. The costume barely has any red in it, and his mask makes his face look weird in most of the scenes. They should have gone with this design. Whoever made the final choice needs to get punched in the face. Give me the DD!

@Kr08 - S1 red suit sucked, but the S2 suit was a MAJOR improvement. I really like it, especially the mask.

But you're right. For Defenders Matt needs a suit sorta similar to that pic and the double D's are a must.

And holy shit the Hot Toys Punisher will be jaw dropping. No money but I still like looking at them hahah.

Nice to see them doing show stuff. Wasn't sure if they ever would. Sadly these things are too rich for my blood to just sit on a shelf and look at. I would have loved to have these when I was a kid though.

I would say the costume is at the point that it mostly works. The design of the latest cowl, and the way it is easier to remove, encourage the film makers to have him CONSTANTLY take it off during dialogue at the end of season 2. You don't want the hero pulling off his mask at every opportunity, it's kind of a cliche.

Great show though, one of the best super hero properties I have ever seen.
