THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Featured A Blink-And-You'd-Miss-It Reference To [SPOILER]

Today's episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier took us to a famous location from the comic books, but did you spot that vague reference to a fan-favourite character? Find more details right here...

As we explained in our recap of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, today's episode, "Power Broker," saw Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, and Baron Zemo make their way to Madripoor.

We didn't spend a huge amount of time on the island, but those of you familiar with the Marvel Universe on the page will know that it's a place Wolverine once called home. Donning an eyepatch and calling himself "Patch," Logan went undercover there for some of his most memorable adventures.

He also worked in "The Princess Bar," a drinking establishment located in Lowtown. Owned by a man called O'Donnell, it also has ties to the criminal Tyger Tiger (Sam is impersonating obscure villain Smiling Tiger, but they're not one and the same). While none of that is mentioned in this episode, the camera does linger on The Princess Bar as the trio explore Lowtown.

It was always a tad too optimistic to expect Patch to show up - or even receive a mention - but this was a cool nod to an important part of Marvel Universe history. Who knows, perhaps Wolverine is working there right now, missing The Falcon and Bucky by pure chance. It all depends on whether mutants exist in the MCU at this time, and if Kevin Feige has plans to reintroduce Wolverine.

Did you notice this little nod to Patch in today's episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier?
