Batroc the Leaper is one of those comic book villains we never anticipated seeing in the MCU, but the Russo Brothers put a grounded spin on the villain in Captain America: The Winter Soldier that was welcomed by fans. He returned in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and after being beaten by the new Cap, it appeared as if the villain was killed by Sharon Carter.
Despite that, actor Georges St-Pierre seems confident that he'll get the chance to return as Batroc in future movie or TV show set in this shared world.
"[Batroc's] gonna come back 100 percent," the former MMA fighter says in the video below. "He always comes in and out of things, you know what I mean? He’s gonna come back with a vengeance next time for sure. He’s gonna bring his brigade and he’s gonna be angry."
It's worth noting that we don't know for sure whether Batroc died after the villainous Power Broker gunned him down. After all, it's not like she got him with a headshot, and villains like this do have a habit of rearing their ugly heads. We're sure Batroc would love to take another shot at beating Captain America - as well as taking revenge on Sharon - so fingers crossed he does indeed come back.
For now, Captain America 4 remains in development at Marvel Studios, though there's no word on a release date, director, or what the plan for Sam Wilson is. There's a lot of excitement for the project, and following the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, it's about time the new Cap gets to take centre stage in an adventure of his own.
It should probably go without saying that we'd like to see Bucky back by his side. However, the prevailing theory online is that the former Winter Soldier could end up joining the Thunderbolts.
