HAWKEYE: New Look At Clint Barton And Kate Bishop Suited Up Revealed In Zavvi's The Lowdown Issue

Hawkeye is right around the corner, and we'll have a lot of coverage to share with you over the next couple of weeks. The final Marvel Studios TV series of 2021, this Christmas-set adventure promises to be another must-see chapter in the MCU mythos, primarily thanks to Kate Bishop's introduction.

Now, thanks to Zavvi's The Lowdown, we have a new look at Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in their comic-accurate costumes. Pizza Dog joins them, of course!

In a separate interview with Games Radar, director Rhys Thomas credited Matt Fraction and David Aja's comic book run for providing them with inspiration. "The Fraction run is such a different approach to character and it’s grounded," the filmmaker explains. "I like the really human aspect of who [Barton] is and also the humor in it. And this is Marvel, so you're always playing with higher stakes in the story, so it's not like you ever teeter into full comedy for the sake of comedy."

"To me, the comedy was trying to bring out the humanity in Clint and the situation that he finds himself in. Also, this relationship with Kate," he continues. "To try to find those character moments that are more universal, even down to their day-to-day concerns and annoyances."

"Set in post-blip New York City, former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero," reads the synopsis for the series. "The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Hawkeye also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, Hawkeye is set to debut exclusively on Disney+ on November 24, 2021...with the first two episodes!

When does Phase V begin?

@VictorAlonzo - wouldn't be surprised if they just drop the whole Phase thing. With so many projects being released a year, every other year is a new Phase

@bkmeijer - possibly, I'd also think they would keep it up to 5 minimum, with the likelyhood of it going to 2025. 2024 is my guess when Reed & Co. take over the MCU.

@VictorAlonzo - yeah I can see that happen. There's definitely gonna be a new phase when the FF enters the universe

@bkmeijer - I'm thinking they are going to end the 4th phase. No way MARVEL misses that bullseye. Especially while they have the rights. Even if it cameos as the end credit final slotted movie of phase 4 going into 5. It should happen.

@bkmeijer - I agree.

A few years ago, Kevin stated something along the lines of them not taking the "phase" thing as seriously as when they began, but fans kept wanting to know when the "phases" ended and began, so they take the time to "figure out" when to stop and start a new phase.

It seems pointless to me now, and makes very little sense, except now they know which Blu-rays, etc. to put in which box sets.

@LSHF - wouldn't be surprised if they're just sticking to sagas now. Hopefully first Kang, then Secret Wars, then Galactus, then Doom

@bkmeijer - That actually sounds much better. Good idea.

Love the purple in Clint's costume.

If that "o" was a little to the right they would have had a problem.
