The first trailer for Marvel Television’s Ironheart was released earlier today, and we now have a new poster and some promo stills spotlighting Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) and her supporting players.

Williams made her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and this series takes places after the events of the sequel, as Riri returns to her hometown of Chicago and sets her mind to building a state-of-the-art iron suit so she can make her mark on the world. Her time in Wakanda has left her more eager than ever to pursue her dreams, and her quest entangles her in a dangerous world of science and magic.

“Riri is definitely in conversation with a street-level show like Daredevil,” Wakanda Forever director and Ironheart EP Ryan Coogler teases. “You’ve got characters trying — both heroes and villains — to make do with what they have. Then you combine that with cosmic Marvel, characters who would be at home in Doctor Strange or WandaVision. That [mix] of street-level Marvel and magical Marvel is a pretty crazy combination.”

The trailer shows Riri taking flight while seemingly preventing some accidents, and there are hints that The Hood may become an adversary before too long - though there's no sign of Mephisto. Sacha Baron Cohen has been rumored to appear as the demonic sorcerer for quite a while now, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Have another look at the trailer below along with the poster and stills, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

"Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri—determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka 'The Hood' (Anthony Ramos)."

The series also stars Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam and Anji White. Chinaka Hodge is head writer; episodes are directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler. Music is by Dara Taylor.

Produced in association with Proximity Media, Ironheart launches on Disney+ June 24, 2025.

@AllsNotGood - I have the “dark theme” set, so comments are mostly white text on a black background.

I get why he's considering this street-level, but she also has an Iron Man suit, so a bit of a step up from the likes of Daredevil.

@JstaKIDfrmBKLYN - we know daredevil is not meeting any street level big names , cox is gonna age out of the role never meeting anyone beyond Kamala's dad

@JstaKIDfrmBKLYN - I mean… Spider-Man can lift 10 tons, Luke cage is impenetrable, and iron fist is an immortal weapon, even moon knight isn’t a push over.

Street level is in the stories as much as the powers.

so like anyway, do you think superman wipes his own a55 or does he get his ROBO SexBots to do it for him?

He super poops like missiles.

There is barely anything left to wipe.

He just goes on with his day with little particles, and then showers and changes clothes.

I like how more analog har armor feels, after having nano tech shoved in our faces for so long. That, and the tech vs magic approach should be interesting.

That said, I'm still disappointed there's no sign Sacha yet, and it does feel like the show is coming out a couple of years years too late; much like Thunderbolts did, despite how good it turned out to be.

The thing I'm most disappointed about is the fact that The Hood and possibly Mephisto are being subjected to this nonsense.

They should have put, "from executive producer Ryan Coogler" at the top of that poster, followed by "the Black Panther guy". It may have gotten maybe 2 people to watch the show.

Ngl , that poster goes hard!!.

Anyway , love how involved Ryan Coogler has been in this show which makes sense since he wanted to bring Riri into the MCU …

The show seems decent imo so I’m looking forward to it!!.

P.S: please check out the rest of the interview , it’s pretty cool imo.

They are still trying to convince us this clunker that sat in the basement next to the old clothes and paint cans for 3 years is something great?

Love it, but mostly love it because it'll bother all the racist misogynist tools who are secretly horny for Thor and Capt America and Iron Man to invite them to a 3way.

UGH. This looks worse than I imagined. The Hood is [frick]ing trash casting - THAT kid is The Hood?

This deserved to be Batgirled and just tossed in the shitter - in the post DEI world this is CRINGE AF and will serve as a timepiece for future generations to see how virtue signal marketing destroyed solid brands.

Riri could be any ethnicity.

This would still be woke girlboss slop made by trashy hackfrauds for trashy people.

Every single movie and TV show should focus on white men only... anything else is liberal, woke degeneracy (women don't speak to me in real life, and I want that reflected in the media I consume).
TheFinestSmack

@MarkCassidy - I just want original non-white characters, male or female, that aren't lazy tokens of white legacy characters.

@MarkCassidy — I always assumed women didn’t speak in real life. They just got swept off their feet and rescued after being captured, because they were conveniently where the bad guy was going to be. Is my assumption wrong?

Trailer was fine but I was really impressed with how they have recaptured so much of that pitch perfect weighted movement Iron Man hasn't had since Phase 1. It makes things feel so much more real
