Despite only making a couple of brief appearances in the first season, Eugene Cordero will return for the second season of Loki in a series regular capacity as Time Variance Authority employee, Casey.
Credited as “Hunter K-5E" in season 1, Cordero played the TVA member who could be seen using Infinity Stones as paper weights when he was filing evidence. He later showed up in the finale when the God of Mischief arrived in the alternate timeline.
Cordero actually confirmed his season 2 involvement during an interview with Collider back in June.
"There's so many moving parts in that universe that things keep changing, so I can't really nail it down, but I'm excited. I'm excited to do more and I don't know to what capacity I'll be able to be a part of it, but I'm excited to do it. So yeah, get ready, it'll be fun, I hope? No, it will be, it'll be great."
Cordero has previously appeared in the likes of Kong: Skull Island, The Good Place, Parks and Recreation, The Mandalorian, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
For many, Loki remains the best MCU-set Disney+ series (it's still the most-watched) we've seen on the streaming service, so a lot of fans were disappointed when it was announced that director Kate Herron would not be returning to helm the second season. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will co-direct a majority of the episodes in her stead, with Eric Martin, who penned "The Nexus Event" and "For All Time. Always" episodes, taking over from Michael Waldron as Head Writer.
The season finale of Loki concluded with Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) following through on her plan to kill "He Who Remains" (Jonathan Majors), splintering the Sacred Timeline and causing the rebirth of The Multiverse in the process. We then saw the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) arrive at what he believed to be the familiar surroundings of The TVA, only to discover that he'd actually entered a reality ruled over by another Kang Variant.
