Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie proved to be an undeniable highlight in Loki's first season, with the show exploring an unexpected love story between the MCU's God of Mischief and his female Variant.

An amalgamation of Lady Loki and Enchantress, Sylvie proved suitably formidable during her quest to take down the TVA and was even responsible for the Multiverse's rebirth after plunging her dagger into the chest of He Who Remains.

In this new concept art, we see a whole host of alternate designs for Sylvie from what was clearly an exploration stage for Marvel Studios' artists. However, we're sure your eyes will be immediately drawn to a couple of designs clearly inspired by the comic book version of Lady Loki.

On the page, the female Loki set out to destroy Asgard by manipulating Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers into attacking Thor's home. Realising she'd gone too far, Lady Loki attempted to help her brother, only to be killed by The Sentry (she'd later be reborn as Kid Loki).

Sylvie will return in Loki's upcoming second season and is expected to be living a normal life when her male counterpart tracks the trickster down to a 1970s McDonald's. What role she'll play beyond that remains to be seen.

Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.

Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. The Head Writer is Eric Martin.

Loki season 2 is set to begin streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.
