Although raised (unrealistic?) expectations led to some fans being disappointed with who showed up, both WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier did feature some surprise character cameos, and it sounds like Loki will follow suit.
Marvel's next Disney+ series is set to premiere this Wednesday Wodensday, and if you weren't already planning to tune in, head writer Michael Waldron offered some more incentive during an interview with Digital Spy. Though he didn't go into specifics, Waldon revealed that no Marvel Comics character was off-limits, and he was given the green light to "go wherever we wanted to."
"If they were within the rights, and legal could clear it, there was no reason we couldn't try and chase them down." When pressed for details on possible cameos, he told them to "expect the unexpected".
The show's time-twisting, alternate reality-spanning plot means any number of previously established or brand new characters could appear. Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror has been rumored to make his MCU debut in Loki prior to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but we haven't really heard about any other possibilities. We have our own theories, but at the risk of spoiling anything, we'll keep them to ourselves until more of you have had a chance to watch!
