LOKI Star Confirms Their Character Will Return In Upcoming Season 2

We've known since Loki ended that the Disney+ series would receive a second season on the streaming service, and one of the show's leads have now confirmed they will return. Read on for further details...

Loki remains the only Marvel Studios TV series on Disney+ to be given a second season, and we recently learned that production is expected to begin this summer. After that huge cliffhanger, there's a lot for the show to address (including the God of Mischief being abandoned in an alternate timeline), but another character's fate is every bit as intriguing.

Judge Ravonna Renslayer left the Time Variance Authority in the finale to track down the person responsible for creating the organisation and controlling the Sacred Timeline.

He Who Remains obviously met his maker at the hands of a vengeful Sylvie, but the stage is clearly being set for Renslayer to met Kang the Conqueror. Their romance in the comic books has spanned millennia and actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw has now confirmed that she will be part of Loki season 2.

"So, so exciting. I know there is a Season 2. I know that I’m in it, and that’s about all I can say!" Mbatha-Raw reveals in the video below. "Well, I just love Renslayer. I’m so excited to explore her further, and I’m so happy that people are really looking forward to the next season."

We don't know when Loki will return to Disney+, but 2023 seems probable. The series is likely to be tied closely to whatever happens in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania as it's previously been revealed that Jonathan Majors will return to the MCU in Peyton Reed's highly anticipated threequel.

Loki is my favorite Marvel Disney+ show, but honestly her character might have been the weakest part. Don't think it's her fault though, cause I remember her being really good in that Black Mirror episode.

@Urubrodi - She has been good in everything she has been in. The weakest being playing second fiddle to Martha Jones as her sister in Dr. Who, but that wasn't her fault. Wasn't much to work with there.

I kinda expected Ravonna to show up in Ant-Man 3 (or wherever Kang ends up being the main villain). Maybe not same version as in Loki but still

Doubt it’ll have much bearing, but the recent Kang miniseries made me see how much can be done with the character so hoping they get into something like that.

I liked Loki but second season absolutely needs to be weirder imo. Play with the whole multiverse concept a bit more. This could be Marvel Doctor Who.
