LOKI: The God Of Mischief Is Burdened With Glorious Purpose In Officially Released TV Spot

On Monday night, a new TV spot for Loki found its way online, and that's now been released in HD for you to enjoy in all its glory following the news that the series has moved to Wednesdays on Disney+.

Earlier today, we learned that Loki has been moved up to June 9th, which means it will be the first Marvel Studios series on Disney+ to stream on Wednesdays rather than Fridays. Accompanying the premiere date change is the official HD version of the TV spot that first aired on Monday evening.

There aren't any big reveals here, but we do get to see more of Loki's interactions with the TVA as he exclaims that he's "burdened with glorious purpose" (we've heard that before).

A recently released synopsis revealed that the villain will be "forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat." We still don't know what that greater threat is, but alternate versions of Loki seem likely.

In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 11th, 2021.

The Time Variance Authority should chat with the Avengers about the time machine in their backyard. Hopefully Loki has to go after Captain America for his crimes against the timeline as well.

@blackandyellow - That's interesting point. I am wondering how they're gonna address that in the show?

@blackandyellow - not sure homewrecking is a crime in the TVA's lawbook.

Maybe they make sure the Infinity Stones stay in place, or maybe they do need to have a talk with the Avengers. Hope the show addresses this

Tom Hiddleston is burdened with glorious fivehead.

(Just the right amount of space for the horned crown.)

Really starting to look forward to Owen Wilson's Mobius. Seems like he, just like Thor, really believes in the good in Loki.

Every new Marvel thing feels like a Steph Curry heat check, but somehow also a safe bet just because of how obvious of a choice it was to conceive

Gonna be even more wild when they really start going full left field with more of this stuff like WandaVision
