Loki is the next MCU-set Disney+ series heading our way after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and while we still have a couple of months to go until it premieres on the streaming service, promotion should soon begin to kick up a notch or two following the release of a new trailer earlier this week.
Empire debuted its latest newsstand and subscribers only covers last night, and the mag has now shared a brand new image of Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief shortly after being apprehended by the Time Variance Authority.
The recent teaser confirmed that the Disney+ show will see Loki nabbed by the TVA after absconding with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius explains that this act somehow broke reality, and he wants the God of Mischief to help him fix it.
The TVA literally knows every word the Asgardian trickster has ever said, however, so something tells us they're going to be keeping him on a fairly short leash (well, electric-shock collar).
Check out the still below along with last night's covers.
Loki will see the God of Mischief step "out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer."
Marvel's highly-anticipated Disney+ series is set to premiere on the streaming service on June 11.
