Recent rumors that Daredevil actor Charlie Cox might be set to return as Matt Murdock for Spider-Man 3 (and possibly even She-Hulk) have led to speculation that some of his fellow Netflix Defenders may get the chance to reprise their respective roles in the MCU at some point.
That's certainly not outside the realm of possibility, but for Luke Cage star Mike Colter, at least, it's not something he's actively anticipating.
When asked if he'd heard anything about stepping back into the streets of Harlem as Power Man during an interview with Coming Soon, Colter revealed that he hasn't been in contact with anyone from Marvel - but he does seem open to the idea should the opportunity present itself.
“I got to say, I rarely think about it in the sense of what could be or will be, I know fans are eager to see something with the character,” said the Monsterland actor. “I know I established him and it was an honor to do that, but I don’t know what the future holds, I’m just in my mode of doing Evil right now and a few films on hiatus. If something happens, I’d love to have a conversation with them, but for now I’m not holding my breath, I’m happy either way, it was a good run.”
If Cox is indeed set to return as the Man Without Fear, it could open the door for the likes of Colter and Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) to join him in the MCU, but even if that is on the cards, we're most likely going to be waiting quite a while to hear about Marvel Studios' plans for these characters.
