M.O.D.O.K. Star Patton Oswalt Would Love To Play A Live-Action Version Of The Villain In The MCU

A M.O.D.O.K. animated series is heading to Hulu, and voice actor Patton Oswalt (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) has admitted that he would love the opportunity to play a live-action take on the villain in the MCU.

We recently learned that M.O.D.O.K. doesn't take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is no great surprise when the animated series was developed by Marvel Television and not Marvel Studios.

Patton Oswalt voices the character, though he's no stranger to the Marvel Universe after previously having a recurring role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now, in an interview with ComicBook.com, the actor admitted that he would love to take a crack at playing a live-action take on this unique villain in the MCU.

"Are you kidding? That'd be freaking awesome if we played M.O.D.O.K. live-action," Oswalt responded when asked about the possibility of that happening down the line. "Oh my God. I would love it. Plus it's an acting job where I get to sit down the whole time. Are you kidding? I'd love that."

In the same interview, the actor talked more about his excitement for seeing M.O.D.O.K. in a live-action setting.

"With the stuff that they're doing now with, with animation and combining animation and live-action, it just gets better and better every movie. The idea of creating this thing doing it live-action with either taking someone's face and changing it...absolutely [I think it could work.]"

"And it would even be more amazing if you do a combination of animation and practical, like build the suit build the chair and have that be part of it so that there's that feeling of solidity there I think would be amazing."

There have been rumblings for a while now that we might see a live-action M.O.D.O.K. in the MCU at some point, with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania rumoured to be among the most likely settings for his debut.

Do you think Oswalt would be a good fit for this villain on the big screen?

I would like to see a live-action MODOK, so why not. I think Marvel should start embrassing the weird characters they have. Do a Mojoverse TV show.

Patton could do it. The guy is passionate and I bet he'd take it seriously.
