Marvel's NEW WARRIORS Won't Air On Freeform After All; Series Will Be Shopped Around To Other Outlets

According to THR, Marvel's New Warriors will no longer air on Freeform.

Although the half-hour scripted superhero comedy was originally picked up straight to series at the Disney-owned cable network in April, sources now report that Marvel is looking to shop the show to other outlets, and there has been some talk that the 10-episode series could wind up at Disney's forthcoming subscription streaming service.

The trade adds that the pilot has "tested through the roof and caught the attention of high-level Disney executives."

New Warriors will star Milana Vayntrub as Doreen Green, AKA Squirrel Girl, Derek Theler as Mister Immortal, Jeremy Tardy as Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as Speedball, Matthew Moy as Microbe and Kate Comer as Debrii.
