Freeform Orders NEW WARRIORS And AMERICA CHAVEZ To Series, With Two Season Orders For Each

It seems Freeform is double and tripling down on Marvel content, as two new shows are set to join the former ABC Family cable network.

After there had been much speculation as to whether or not Marvel's New Warriors was going to make it out of pilot-season purgatory after being pulled from Freeform in November, but now it seems whatever scheduling problems led to the show being pulled have since been rectified, as the show has been re-ordered for two 10-episode seasons (an aspect which was also part of the reports initially surrounding the project as it began pitching to new networks). But it seems it won't be alone, as The Hollywood Reporter is also saying Freeform is eyeing another pickup: America Chavez.

While there is no report as to whether or not Cloak and Dagger may also get an early pickup, it seems like both New Warriors and the upcoming America Chavez show have both scored early 10-episode multi-season pickups prior to Freeforms nearing Upfront presentation, to lure in new advertisers to the network. Having recently cancelled the sophomore series Beyond, it seems that Freeform has decided to go all in on their upcoming 3 Marvel programs. Both America Chavez and Squirrel Girl are also expected to appear in Marvel's upcoming animated project Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, which will even feature Milana Vayntraub portraying Squirrel Girl in both the animated and live-action versions of the character.

Ι am pretty sure that Feige will hold America Chavez for a Young Avengers movie. Don't forget the twin boys they casted for Avengers 4. Wiccan and Speed, Scarlet Witch's sons.
