WandaVision was a series which generated heaps of theories among fans, from supposed hints about Mephisto to the identity of Monica Rambeau’s aerospace engineer friend (alas, it was neither Reed Richards nor Blue Marvel).
However, one of the biggest unanswered questions is who FBI Agent Jimmy Woo was looking for when he arrived at Westview and found Wanda Maximoff’s Hex waiting for him. In the show, we learned the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania supporting character was searching for a witness who vanished from the Witness Protection Program.
Jimmy initially believed his missing perp had "flown the coop," but was left perplexed when their known associates and family members claimed to have never heard of them (likely as a result of the Hex which hid the town from outside view).
WandaVision will be released as a Collector’s Edition on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and Blu-ray Steelbook on November 28, and a newly released deleted scene titled "Ankle Bracelet" finally reveals the identity of the missing witness. Yes, as many of you theorised, it was indeed Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner!
In the clip, we see him remove his ankle bracelet and go on the run, presumably escaping from Westview shortly after being compelled by Agatha Harkness to pose as Wanda’s brother, Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver. Granted powers by the witch, that proved to be the role of a lifetime for the wannabe actor.
Rumour has it Bohner will appear in Wonder Man and if so, he may well have a connection to Trevor Slattery or one of the show’s Hollywood-based protagonists. We also can’t help but wonder whether he scoffed at the name "Ralph Bohner" because it was the one given to him to protect his real identity; whether that’s someone from the comics obviously remains to be seen.
Many fans had hoped Peters was playing a Variant of Quicksilver plucked from the Multiverse but that sadly proved not to be the case. However, WandaVision and Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman previously hinted that the mystery surrounding Ralph would eventually be revealed.
"In terms of nobody knowing that Westview exists, Westview does exist and that's why Jimmy's there. But the people in the environment have forgotten it because Wanda has made it so," Shakman explained. "She's created a kind of black hole there so she can be uninterrupted and people won't find their way in too much. In terms of the missing person, there's an answer for that and, you know, hang in there."
