Welcome to 2021!
While we're not sure how much new Marvel Studios content we'll see this year, as further release date delays are a possibility unless Disney is willing to release the Phase 4 slate directly on Disney+. On the plus side, we're definitely getting WandaVision on January 15th, and the marketing campaign is picking up in a big way thanks to a cool new banner and some Twitter emojis.
As you can see, the banner teases the dual sides of the two Avengers as they find themselves trapped in a sitcom reality. While they're not in black and white, it appears those non-costumed versions of the Scarlet Witch and The Vision hail from the 1950s setting we've seen so much of in the promos for the highly anticipated TV show.
In WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff and Vision are two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives, but begin to suspect everything is not as it seems. Starring Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings and Randall Park, WandaVision is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Shaeffer (Black Widow) is head writer.
Check out the new WandaVision banner (you can click on it for a hi-res version) and those Twitter emojis below. We'll be sure to keep you updated as more about the Disney+ series is revealed.
