EW has debuted the first teaser trailer and some official stills for Altered Carbon, which is an adaptation of Richard K. Morgan’s 2002 novel of the same name.
The show stars Suicide Squad actor Joel Kinnaman as the new "sleeve" of a mercenary named Takeshi Kovacs (Will Yun-Lee), whose consciousnesses was transferred into another body after he was imprisoned centuries earlier.
The sci-fi drama series was written and produced by Laeta Kalogridis (Alita: Battle Angel, Shutter Island), while the pilot was directed by Miguel Sapochnik (who helmed the “Battle of the Bastards” episode of Game of Thrones).
