Netflix has released the first official trailer for one of their more interesting upcoming projects, They Cloned Tyrone. The original sci-fi comedy mystery will see an unlikely trio of heroes accidentally unearth a nefarious government experiment, which, based on the title, will involve cloning - and someone named Tyrone.
The teaser trailer doesn't reveal too much, at least in terms of the overall plot, but does offer an extended look at a very fun elevator sequence between the three charismatic stars, before sending them underground to a strange laboratory. They soon learn that everything is not what it seems and uncover what could be a game-changing discovery.
Juel Taylor (Fred Unplugged; Twenties) directed the feature and co-wrote the script with Tony Rettenmaier.
The film stars John Boyega (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker; Breaking) as Fontaine, Teyonah Parris (WandaVision; The Marvels) as Yo-Yo, and Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx (Spider-Man: No Way Home; Collateral) as Slick Charles.
No word on who is playing Tyrone, but it's likely something we will soon discover as the film is due to hit Netflix before the end of this calendar year, with December being the expected launch frame.
