STRANGER THINGS Breakout Joseph Quinn Joins Lupita Nyong'o In A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE

Eddie Munson may be gone, but Joseph Quinn will be bringing his talents to another fan-favorite horror franchise when he joins Lupita Nyong'o in Paramount's A Quiet Place: Day One...

After stealing (and then breaking) the hearts of Stranger Things fans as doomed metal-head Eddie Munson in the Netflix show's recent fourth season, Joseph Quinn has lined up his next project.

According to Deadline (via FearHQ.com), the now highly in-demand actor is set to star in Paramount Pictures and Pig director Michael Sarnoski's A Quiet Place: Day One alongside Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Lupita Nyong'o, who was recently cast in the lead role.

As is so often the case, no details on Quinn's character were provided.

The movie will, presumably, take us back to the sound-sensitive alien creatures' initial arrival on Earth and decimation of the populace. We saw how this played out for the Abbot family at the start of Part II, so there's a good chance Day One will focus on an entirely new set of characters.

The Abbots are not expected to appear, but it sounds like their involvement hasn't been completely ruled out.

A direct follow-up, A Quiet Place: Part III, is also in development, with John Krasinski set to return as director. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Cillian Murphy are expected to reprise their roles.

Part II was the first post-pandemic theatrical-only release, and ended up taking in over $297 million at the worldwide box office. The movie also garnered rave reviews (you can check out ours here), and sits at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

@bobevanz - He killed it in Stranger Things! He also had the single best scene in the entire series with that Metallica guitar scene, which he actually played himself, by the way.

The guy is awesome. I'm excited to see what else he can do.

Marvel needs to snatch him up and cast him as variant/multiverse/reboot Tony Stark already.

good to see him get another big role. A lot of times you see someone get super well known for a breakout role and then never get another big gig.

Granted, a lot of times its because they aren't that great of an actor, they just did that one part really well.

I don't suspect that's the case with Joseph Quinn though.

He’s ok. I myself wouldn’t call him a “break out Star”

Good casting, hopefully his character can get a happy ending in this in film.
