Billie Piper Joins Showtime's PENNY DREADFUL Series
The former Doctor Who actress has joined the already very impressive cast of the upcoming Showtime series, which will feature iconic horror characters such as Dracula, Van Helsing and more
Deadline report that Bille Piper is joining the likes of Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear and Harry Treadaway in the cast of Penny Dreadful for Showtime. Her character is not named (so we don't know if she'll be playing an established horror icon) but apparently she'll appear as "an Irish immigrant trying to escape her dark past". Skyfall scribe John Logan is set to write all eight episodes of the series, with the director of that movie Sam Mendes executive producing. The first episode will be helmed by The Orphanage director Juan Antonio Bayona.
