AHSOKA Promo Suggests Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano Has Her Own Jedi Padawan: Sabine Wren!

We've seen Sabine Wren wielding Ezra Bridger's lightsaber in trailers and TV spots for Ahsoka, but a new promo suggests the Mandalorian might be Ahsoka Tano's Jedi Padawan! Check it out after the jump...

Lucasfilm recently dropped a new promo for Ahsoka (via SFFGazette.com) which looks back at the Galaxy's various masters and apprentices. From Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano and even Luke Skywalker and Grogu, it's a video Star Wars fans will surely appreciate.

However, it may also offer a major hint about what's to come in Ahsoka ahead of the show's planned launch later this month.

As you'll see in the players below, it's strongly suggested that Sabine Wren will become Ahsoka Tano's new Jedi Padawan. We've already seen the Mandalorian wield Ezra Bridger's lightsaber in promise the Star Wars Rebels follow-up and can't help but wonder whether she may, in fact, be Force-sensitive.

That would be a fun development for the character, and one which could give Ahsoka the chance to be a teacher. Given what happened to the Jedi who taught her, though, it won't be easy for the hero and Rebel to take on that role.

Check out the latest Ahsoka sneak peek below.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.

All these new jedi popping up really makes the OT feel weird.

Yoda: There is another...
Luke: Leia?
Yoda: Sure, why not. A few thousand have been doing shit already, so why not her?

@kazuma - This is post Return of the Jedi and even before they were scattered across the galaxy after Order 66.

@NinnesMBC - This series might be post Jedi, but all the characters aren't. Wren isn't a post jedi character. Ashoka isn't either. And all of these Inquisitors showing up makes it even weirder that the Empire lost.

I didn't have a problem with it in animation because the animated stuff always felt separated enough. Now that it's all coming into live action it starts to make it all weird.

Good TV spot and that shot of Ahsoka breaking the glass with her lightsaber was neat.

There's still time for the 23th so I'm doing a rewatch of The Clone Wars and Rebels in preparation for this.

@BritishMonkey - I went back and checked and Josh literally wrote the article about the trailer, where he discusses the points he is now acting surprised about

All these jedis die before Rey meets Luke right? Cant call it the last jedi unless Rey is the only Jedi alive.

Bothe Clone Wars and Rebels are some of the best Star Wars of the last few years so hopefully this can keep up the momentum and quality. The trailers have been looking great.

@TheShape9859 - Josh also knew this. He wrote the article when the trailer dropped all those weeks ago and he literally discussed the points he’s claiming are new here

I was a little put off with the ages of some of these characters, than I realized it has only been 15 years between Rebels and The Mandalorian series, now bo katan should have been as old as obi wan in the Mandalorian.
