Lucasfilm recently dropped a new promo for Ahsoka (via SFFGazette.com) which looks back at the Galaxy's various masters and apprentices. From Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano and even Luke Skywalker and Grogu, it's a video Star Wars fans will surely appreciate.
However, it may also offer a major hint about what's to come in Ahsoka ahead of the show's planned launch later this month.
As you'll see in the players below, it's strongly suggested that Sabine Wren will become Ahsoka Tano's new Jedi Padawan. We've already seen the Mandalorian wield Ezra Bridger's lightsaber in promise the Star Wars Rebels follow-up and can't help but wonder whether she may, in fact, be Force-sensitive.
That would be a fun development for the character, and one which could give Ahsoka the chance to be a teacher. Given what happened to the Jedi who taught her, though, it won't be easy for the hero and Rebel to take on that role.
Check out the latest Ahsoka sneak peek below.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
