A new casting call for the upcoming Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series might just confirm that younger versions of Luke and Leia will feature.

According to the Illuminerdi, Lucasfilm is currently searching for a "(Girl) Caucasian, 8-11 years old, to portray a precocious girl," and a "(Boy) Caucasian, 8-11 years old, to portray a precocious boy." While this is far from confirmation that these kids will be the children of Anakin and Padme, it seems like a pretty safe bet!

Previous reports have indicated that Luke would appear - watching over the budding Jedi is the reason "Ben" has exiled himself on Tatooine, after all - but this is the first indication we've had that his twin sister may also be involved. Will we see Kenobi leave Tatooine to pay a visit to his old ally Bail Organa and his adopted daughter on Alderaan, perhaps?

A recent update suggested that production on Obi-Wan is scheduled to commence in Los Angeles next March, so hopefully we'll get official confirmation of the Skywalker twins' involvement via a casting announcement before year's end.

What do you guys make of this? Do you think it's a good idea to re-introduce younger versions of both Luke and Leia in Obi-Wan's series? Let us know in the comments.

Honestly, Luke and Obi-Wan could even meet. Luke seems to be kinda aware of him in ANH.

And Luke could always be too young to really remember.

@Nightwing1015 - Yeah he'd definitely met him before the events of the first movie.

@Nightwing1015 - yeah definitely. Though not leia. That would be pushing it.

@Origame - what’s to say Leia didn’t meet him once or twice while she was a kid? She could even ask Bail who he is, and he could tell her he’s a trusted friend who fought with him during the Clone Wars.

Luke makes sense, Leia would make no sense.
Too bad Millie Bobby Brown is too old for the age of the characters they are going for

@regularmovieguy - On the bright side, the director of this show did one of the most stylish episodes of Better Call Saul

@tmp3

Deborah Chow is awesome from what I’ve seen. Will be interesting to see her transition to movies when it comes. I’m sure it will be soon.

@regularmovieguy - For sure, I had issues with Mandalorian (it lost me in the middle but got me back towards the ending), but Chow's episodes were my favorite by far. Also, her Saul episode had so much directorial style to it; after that Something Stupid sequence there's a whole POV oner of Saul checking out his new office space. Interested to see what she does here, even if the project doesn't sound all that interesting on paper sans Ewan

I heard this was an old plan scrapped for being too similar what Mandalorian ended up being. The whole Lone Wolf and Cub thing. The flashback idea with Hayden Christensen makes more sense anyway.

@FleischerSupes - well i mean thats literally what the story would have to be. Thats literally the whole reason hes there, to protect luke. Even if he leaves the planet its to try and protect luke. This is a pretty surface level comparison that applies to phantom menace, a new hope, the clone wars movie, and star wars rebels.

Luke = Jacob Tremblay (Wonder, The Room)

Leia = McKenna Grace (Gifted, Ghostbusters: Afterlife)

A Luke that is around the same age Anakin was in The Phantom Menace could suffice, the same goes for her sister Leia.

@NinnesMBC - hopefully they have better dialogue and direction. No need to give idiots a reason to ruin another kid's life
