Did AHSOKA Star Rosario Dawson Just Confirm She'll Return As Ahsoka Tano In THE MANDALORIAN Season 3?

There's a lot of intrigue surrounding the two episodes of The Mandalorian co-written by Dave Filoni, but will one of them feature the return of Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano? Here's what we know so far...

Believe it or not, this Wednesday's "Chapter 20" means we'll have reached the halfway point of The Mandalorian's current third season. After our intriguing trip to Coruscant to catch up with Doctor Pershing, fans are keen to learn more about where Din Djarin's story is heading, but could that end up involving Ahsoka Tano?

With Ahsoka also set to premiere on Disney+ later this year, we'd be shocked if The Mandalorian doesn't do something to lay the groundwork for that, and Rosario Dawson might have just spilled the beans on her return as Ahsoka Tano!

In the Instagram post below (first shared by SFFGazette.com), the actress says: "Doing my best @wondersoka impression this Wonder Woman Wednesday as I jones for the next 'Mando' episode...#thisistheway"

What, if anything, does this mean? Well, while it seems to be a fairly innocent post on the surface, Ahsoka's history with the Mandalorians - and Sabine Wren - makes it feel somewhat likely that she'll show up to lend Din and Grogu (along with her old friend Bo-Katan Kryze) a helping hand.

However, even more noteworthy is the fact Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni co-wrote this Wednesday's episode of The Mandalorian and, as that's one of only two Chapters he's contributed to this season, we'd say it's highly probable Ahsoka will appear.

Time will tell on that front, but with the trailers suggesting we'll finally learn what happened to Grogu during the fateful night of Order 66 in the Jedi Temple, it could be that Ahsoka factors into that somehow.

What we do know is that Dawson is heading to Star Wars Celebration in London early next month in order to take part in an Ahsoka panel that's bound to end with a first look at the Disney+ series finally debuting online.

Check out Dawson's post below.

Doctor Pershing was a waste of time and like a budget poorly written Andor. Ashoka was cool in her little spot last season but i hope her inclusion serves a purpose other than just setting her show up. Mando himself has had a pretty weak story so far this season.

@mountainman - so interesting how people's opinions and reactions can differ. I was absolutely swooned by the Pershing episode. It made star wars feel so lived in. Felt like I was watching someone play a star wars MMO on twitch!

I also felt the Andor comparisons. But I didn't pit them against each other. Andor is more mature and focused with stronger writing. This episode had that "on the ground level" Andor feel but with the budget to do costumes, aliens, and coruscant background true justice!

Matter of fact, the scenes where he was being assessed by the robot reminded me of the Appletv show Severance. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt that

@Vigor - There were things I liked and disliked about it. I bet I would have liked it a lot more if it wasn’t on this show. Also, it really feels like they are trying to set up the Palpatine cloning story. What made this show great was how disconnected it was to the main story. If the sequels start creeping in more and more, it’s going to ruin the reputation this show has built.

@Vigor - The other things was that all the former Empire people were so obviously bad from the moment you met them. Andor had subtlety and nuance to its writing and characters and this just felt juvenile in comparison.

Hopefully, I think she's good in the role.

Would be very cool, but perhaps maybe she's just excited for the next episode like the rest of us are? Like regular people do?

From what I gather, I might as well, not re up my Disney plus. I guess this is how the walking Cuban leaves the TV side of marvel alone. Do you know what, I think I’ll be just fine filling in the blanks. And if I missed something good, I miss something good. At least I’ll miss all the bad crap too

@TheWalkingCuban - You’d miss Andor season 2, but we got over a year wait for that.

It means she's looking forward to the next episode. You'll make an article out of everything won't you??

I'm loving this season so far. The last episode was an interesting change in pace but I loved the world building. We are starting to see something building.

Good.
Maybe the season will finally get interesting.

OR... maybe she is just a Mandolorian fan and is excited for the next episode? OR maybe she is just generating buzz because Ashoka was part of Season 2? Or, maybe she is going to be in Season 3 after all? IDK, there is a lot of speculation here and apparently enough to generate an article out of it?
