THE MANDALORIAN Hits Rotten Tomatoes With Perfect 100% Score; New Stills Released From Today's Premiere

The Madalorian returned to Disney+ earlier today for its third season, and with reviews pouring in, we have a score for the Star Wars series! With that comes a brand new gallery of spoilery stills...

The reviews are in for The Mandalorian season 3 and that means the Disney+ series has an all-important Rotten Tomatoes score. Two episodes were provided to critics in advance of the show's launch (literally just a few hours before it dropped), but this first wave of verdicts has resulted in a flawless 100% score.

There's a good chance this will change in the coming days, of course, but we can't imagine it going too much lower based on the steller first and second instalments.

Heading into season 3, we couldn't help but wonder whether some critics might turn on The Mandalorian. After all, the premise of the show has changed greatly and it's being released in the wake of Andor, a series consistently praised by some for being better than this one! Thankfully, Din Djarin and Grogu's adventures together remain beloved.

"Still the best Star Wars TV show, The Mandalorian returns with everything fans love about the franchise and plenty of hints that this will be the most thrilling and revealing season yet," we concluded in our review earlier today. "We’re ready for that Bo-Katan Kryze spin-off."

With this news comes a new gallery of stills from The Mandalorian (via SFFGazette.com) highlighting a number of key moments from "The Apostate," including that tense exchange with Bo-Katan Kryze.

There's also the expected level of Grogu cuteness!

The Mandalorian's season 3 premiere included a surprise nod to Star Wars Rebels that you can read about by clicking here. We've also broken down how Cara Dune is written out of the series (find that here) and details on the unexpected return of a fan-favourite character are here

Check out The Mandalorian's Tomatometer reveal below along with those newly released stills.

How did I not realize this was back already?

For some reason I thought S3 was still several months out.

Huh.

Maybe not as long or action packed as the first one of the second season, but this one gave us an idea of the quest that Din has to accomplish on the season.... and the space fight was awesome

@NoobNoob - Yeah, I liked that this felt like the first chapter or two in a novel. Some minor beats of action, but mainly setting the stage for the rest of the season.

I wonder if Swamp Thing will return.

Everything looked OK except the Swamp-Thing-Pirate. His yell was a shitty reminder of the black blob called Armus who killed Tasha Yar on Star Trek TNG.

But even an IG-Droid's death is not safe in Star Wars now?

@PartyKiller - think he is suppose to be a call back to the original han solo design before Lucas refined the idea

would be cool if they let Bo-Katan go full villain and take on Din

remember she was a power hungry terrorist back in clone wars and only turned on Maul when Vizla was killed, she may have been on the right side of a few conflicts but she is not a good guy

@dracula - Bo-Katan should go XXX.

@dracula - Is it not hinting at the fact that she might. She seems pretty pissed. Legitimate question. Unfortunately I need to watch the animated shows. I love Star Wars and wanna get into the good stuff. Always been a superhero guy but loved Star Wars

Anybody else hate it when directors go for flare over sound battle tactics? That battle vs the giant crocodile was awful. Any Mando with a jetpack would have instantly taken to the air, and all the rest on the ground would have backed the hell up to higher ground, instead of standing around to get eaten. And how are wrist ropes going to do anything at all? It was all kind of stupid.

@NGFB - dont forget the bombs on the armored back of the beast instead of the soft parts on the side

@dracula - Same, nice misdirect on their part, made Mando's reveal even more surprising. Perhaps it was a reference to him being a foundling too?

The Mandalorians could have just used their jet packs and shot the giant crocodile from a distance instead of staying on the ground.

I love how the solution to being target locked by a giant space pirate ship is to just jump to hyperspace. Who knew. Why even stick around to listen to them? Just jump away already.
