Simon Pegg is one of the only actors to have been granted the opportunity to act in both the Star Trek and Star Wars franchises, and he's now confessed that he hopes to appear in The Mandalorian.
In recent weeks, we've learned of a number of familiar faces from the wider Star Wars Universe being added to the Disney+ series, including Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Boba Fett, and maybe even Sabin Wren. Could The Empire Strikes Back baddie and one of Fett's fellow bounty hunters, Dengar, join them?
Pegg, who voiced the character in The Clone Wars, certainly hopes to make that happen.
"I’ve mentioned it a few times, but surely, if Taika and Favreau decide to bring Dengar into The Mandalorian, then I have some form [of experience] in the past having played him in Star Wars: Battlefront and The Clone Wars. So just saying," Pegg said, using Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze as an example. "I heard they just employed Katee Sackhoff to play a character that wasn’t in the movies but she played it before in a different Star Wars thing, so just saying."
Dengar made a blink and you'd miss it cameo appearance in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and we later learned that in order to greatly prolong his life, he left himself grotesquely deformed.
That's surely something a future chapter of The Mandalorian could touch on with Pegg in the role!
