Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have shared a brand new TV spot for the highly anticipated second season of The Mandalorian, offering about 30 seconds of action-packed new footage as our titular hero (Pedro Pascal) and The Child jet back into action with the increasingly dangerous Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) hot on their trails.
While not much is known in terms of plot details, season two will presumably pick up not long after the events of last year with the duo still on the run. Series creator Jon Favreau directed the season premiere and also served as writer on six of the eight episodes this season. Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Robert Rodriguez, and Carl Weathers also directed chapters this year.
Season 2 will see Pedro Pascal return as Din Djarin, a.k.a. The Mandalorian, and will also once again feature The Child. The supporting cast will include Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Michael Biehn as a fellow bounty hunter and Rosario Dawson as the fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano in her live-action debut.
