In December,
Jon Goldwater, CEO of Archie Comics participated in a
Reddit AMA. During the chat Goldwater coyly said
Afterlife With Archie could become a television series or a movie, but an interview from October with the comic's writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa reveals the real plan.
CBR: Roberto, is there anything else folks show know at this point about "Riverdale"?
Nothing, except that we're really, really excited -- and that if, god willing, this works out the way we all want it to work out, every Halloween we'll be doing an "Afterlife" episode of "Riverdale."
Currently,
Arrow and
The Flash showrunner,
Greg Berlanti, is working on a television show based on characters from Archie Comics. It is tentatively titled
Riverdale and is being developed for Fox. It will be a one-hour drama. If it goes well, you can expect a zombie-filled episode during Halloween every year. Neat!
