Riverdale's first season wrapped up the murder of Jason Blossom by its final episode, but ended on an even more shocking note when Archie's father was shot by a masked gunman in Pop's diner.

The first look at the second season has now been released, and picks up almost immediately afterwards, teasing how the fallout will affect Archie, his friends, and the small town in which they live. Check the trailer out below!

Riverdale season 2 will premiere on October 11, 2017.

Set in the present day and based on the iconic Archie Comics characters, "Riverdale" is a surprising and subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart, Surviving Jack), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small town life -- the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale's wholesome facade.

I have yet to binge-watch this show, kept it for summer, but despite a lot of people saying good things about it, I saw that The CW wasn't happy with the show's ratings. I mean, really unhappy. Which is surprising since it didn't perform well, but still a tiny bit better than The 100, so I don't know.

After watching Spider-man Homecoming seeing people my age being portrayed by 27 year olds seems way off

@AndrewHolland - The only one who is older is the girl playing Josie, just like Liz's actress in Homecoming was 27. Everyone else is like 20, 22. KJ Apa, Archie, is only 20, just like Tom Holland.

@SoulReaver - Oh, Ashley Murray, who plays Josie of the Pussycats, will be 30 years old next year. Just some further food for thought.

I can't watch it. The video is not available.

But that is okay. I'm just going to sit here and continue trying to identify which Game of Thrones house each Riverdale family would be a part of. I think you already know who the Blossoms are.

I binged the entire first season on Netflix and it's excellent! They did an amazing job of Modernizing the group for today.

Highlights:

Archie banging a teacher
The crule intentions meets Scooby doo vibe
Everybody gets laid
Jughead is a boss

The show is great. Id give it a least the 1st episode and then decide
