Riverdale's first season wrapped up the murder of Jason Blossom by its final episode, but ended on an even more shocking note when Archie's father was shot by a masked gunman in Pop's diner.
The first look at the second season has now been released, and picks up almost immediately afterwards, teasing how the fallout will affect Archie, his friends, and the small town in which they live. Check the trailer out below!
Riverdale season 2 will premiere on
October 11, 2017.
Set in the present day and based on the iconic Archie Comics characters, "Riverdale" is a surprising and subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart, Surviving Jack), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small town life -- the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale's wholesome facade.
