SPOILERS: Possible Details On How Carnage Will Be Introduced In The VENOM Movie

Carnage is all-but confirmed to appear in Venom in some capacity, but we haven't had any details on how the villain will be introduced... until now! Warning, if this is accurate, major SPOILERS follow...

We may finally have some concrete details on how Cletus Kasady, a.k.a. Carnage, will be introduced in Sony's upcoming Venom movie.

According to That Hashtag Show, the murderous Spidey villain won't actually play a large role in the film at all, and will only appear in one scene towards the end (possibly even a post-credit sequence). When Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) lands himself in San Quentin prison, Dr. Ashley Kafka introduces him to Kasady, and this is apparently when a piece of the Venom symbiote attaches itself to a new host.

Exactly what happens next is vague, but it doesn't sound like we're going to see full-on Carnage in this first movie, anyway.

As for who could be playing Kasady, well, keep in mind that Woody Harrelson's role still hasn't been revealed!

Check out the video report below for more, and be sure to let us know what you think in the usual place.

They should be getting this film right first, theyre blowing their load again like with ASM if they think a franchise can be built from a film with an already jarring reception

Honestly, whether people like it or not, this makes sense. If this really is the first time that Eddie becomes Venom, there’s no reason for Carnage to come into the picture so early. If this does well (and I’m hoping it does), introduce Carnage properly in the next one and give us time to know Kasady as well as we will get to know Eddie.
Again, fingers crossed that this film is good and that it makes money. From what I’ve heard and seen, I think I have an idea as to how they’ve reworked Venom’s origin to get around the whole Spider-Man issue, and I’m curious to see how it will work out (unlike everyone else who just seems to bitch and complain lol)

@Mattygrand - exactly once Eddie gets use to it and starts to gain control the symbiote is gonna wanna break apart

@Mattygrand - finally someone here makes sense and not all this senseless bitching. This is an origin movie people! Carnage shouldn’t be in it yet!

Never mind Carnage, at this stage I'll just be happy if Venom makes a cameo in this Venom movie ;-)

This movie gives me the same feels as movies like:

-The Amazing Spider-man 2 and F4ntastic: new movies that were settled to actually have a future and failed hard to the point those are death franchises.

-Gotham City Sirens, Nigtwing, Deadshot, Black Adam, Harley vs Joker, Joker movie (not settled in DCU): movies that we don't need and if they're making those it would be a forced and desperated move, like this movie.

-Elektra, Ghost Rider 1 and 2, Punisher: War Zone, Catwoman: movies from 2004-2008, i don't know how to explain that feel. Cheap and why the heel do we got that movies would be the same feel with this movie.

BUT CHILL! I would love to see Venom on the big screen, but with the right direction, with Spider-man totally implied in his origin. But, who knows, maybe the movie ends up being wonderful and i will be glad that i was wrong. But this is what i feel about this project and the teaser.

@LoganMjolnir - I personally don't like the mentality of "movies we don't need/didn't ask for" because we don't know what the films will entail.

I doubt many people, even in the comic fandoms, felt they needed/wanted a Guardians of the Galaxy film. And look how that turned out. Similar with films like Logan.

Of course all these films should have a central message and strong plot to be successful. But simply because "no one asked for them" doesn't mean they can't have the potential to be great films.

(PS. As someone who isn't really a big DC fan -don't hate them just haven't read the comics- Gothom City Sirens is a potential film in the DCEU that Im looking forward to. The potential of having three prominent female charcaters on screen together sound very interesting.)
