VENOM Is Ready To Rip Heads In A Wicked New Photo From The Upcoming Tom Hardy-Led Spinoff
Sony Pictures has just debuted another awesome new photo from their upcoming Tom Hardy-starrer, Venom, this time featuring the titular antihero getting ready to rip someone's head clean off their body.
One of the most talked about scenes coming out of Comic-Con was a brutal shot of Venom (Tom Hardy) devouring a thug's head and while the recent trailer also featured the same scene as its tag, it's believed to be a slightly abbreviated version of what was shown to the SDCC audience, meaning there's still a lot more wickedness to come when the Spider-Man spinoff roars into theaters this October.
Entertainment Weekly has shared a cool new still from the Ruben Fleischer-directed film, featuring the titular antihero looming large over an evildoer. They also caught up with Hardy, who offered some more insight on the dynamic between Eddie Brock and the symbiote that's using his body as a host.
“They’re a bit lost in this world, and finding each other and negotiating an ethical framework is perhaps a gift and a burden for the two of them. They bring out the very best and the very worst in each other.”
One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom features:
Director: Ruben Fleischer
Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom
Michelle Williams as Anne Weying
Riz Ahmed as Carlton Drake/Riot
Scott Haze in an undisclosed role
Reid Scott in an undisclosed role
Jenny Slate in an undisclosed role
Woody Harrelson in an undisclosed role
Venom unleashes in theaters October 5

In news that should surprise no one, Sony confirmed at CinemaCon last night that Venom 3 is officially in the works, while a few snippets of footage were also shown from their Kraven the Hunter movie.
Though the first Venom movie was a huge box office success, it didn't fare so well with the critics. Now, director Ruben Fleischer has weighed in on the negative reaction.
Uncharted director Ruben Fleischer has addressed the possibility of returning to the Venom franchise for an eventual Spider-Man crossover, admitting that it would no doubt lead to a "formidable battle."
