VENOM: Sony's SPIDER-MAN Spin-Off Adds BLACK PANTHER Actress Sope Aluko In An Undisclosed Role
Sony's Venom movie has already wrapped production, but we're just now hearing about an intriguing cast addition. Sope Aluko, who has a small role in Marvel's Black Panther, has landed an undisclosed role.
According to Deadline, Nigerian-born actress Sope Aluko has secured an undisclosed role in Sony Pictures' upcoming Venom movie.
Aluko has appeared in the likes of Pitch Perfect 2, Bloodline and Identity Thief; and most recently had a small role in Marvel's Black Panther as one of the guardians of the heart-shaped herbs, Shaman.
The trade makes no mention of which character she'll be playing in the Spider-Man spin-off, but it'll most likely be a minor supporting part.
Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, and Tom Hardy as the titular Marvel villain/antihero.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 5.
