On the heels of last night's awesome trailer debut, Paramount Pictures has shared eleven stills from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, offering a hi-resolution look at the titular hedgehog (Ben Schwartz), his new friend Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey), and his badass new adversary Knuckles (Idris Elba).
The stills also provide fresh shots of the film's human cast, which includes James Marsden (X-Men; Westworld), Tika Sumpter (Mixed-ish; Ride Along), Natasha Rothwell (Wonder Woman 1984; Like a Boss), Adam Pally (Happy Endings; The Mindy Project), Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds; S.W.A.T.), Lee Majdoub (Sonic the Hedgehog; The 100), and 2x Golden Globe-winner Jim Carrey (The Truman Show; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) as Dr. Robotnik.
While the trailer offered a small preview of what's to come, the film's story will see Sonic and Tails team-up to stop Robotnik and Knuckles from tracking down a Chaos emerald, a rare stone that has the power to destroy entire civilizations.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is set to race into theaters on April 8, 2022.
