During their CES 2022 presentation, Sony Pictures brought out Tom Holland to celebrate the recent release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and to share the first official clip from their upcoming video game movie adaptation, Uncharted.
The clip is quite a high-flying affair as we get an extended look at Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and Chloe Frazer (Sophia Taylor Ali) trying to escape the clutches of Braddock (Tati Gabrielle), with some impressive action that bodes well for what's to come next month.
While Morbius was moved to April, with many sources now claiming Sony wanted to spread out their Spider-Man properties to improve their Q2 balance sheet as opposed to pushing the movie back due to Omicron concerns, the studio has left Uncharted in its post-Valentine's release date for now.
Uncharted stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home; Avengers: Endgame) in the lead role as ace adventurer Nathan Drake with a supporting cast consisting of 2x Academy Award-nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Departed; The Fighter) as Sully Sullivan, Sophia Taylor Ali (Grey's Anatomy; Truth or Dare) as Chloe Frazer, Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina; You) as Braddock, and Academy Award-nominee Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro; Desperado) as the primary antagonist.
Uncharted hits theaters on February 18.
Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother...but only if they can learn to work together.
