Also, a rumor via Kotaku reckons Kevin Conroy - who has voiced Batman in both previous games, and in a Hell of a lot of other media too - won't be returning for a third time. Apparently the game developers want "to use a new younger actor because the game features Batman in his early years." Nothing confirmed yet, but I'd say it's a safe bet. We'll update if we come across any more info.

The premise to this game is perfect for the next Batman reboot. Have Black Mask as the main villain and get him to hire the worlds greatest assassins. Now that would be a badass flick.

Don't know how I feel about Conroy not returning. I understand the idea behind getting a younger actor but Conroy has been the voice of the "animated" Batman most of my life. It's just not the same without him.

Is Bruce Greenwood doing the new voice, because if he is then I'm ok with no Conroy.

If Greenwood is not doing the voice and Conroy is not doing the voice, then I'm kind of concerned.

People are so obsessed with Conroy.

The man is so hyped up, its unreal. He voiced Batman when you were a kid we get it, but there are a ton of fantastic unknown VAs not getting any parts because fans are so attached to a veteran voice. It's selfish for Conroy to continue voicing the character. He won't live forever.

And the nerve of some you: I WON'T BUY IT WITHOUT CONROY. Yeah sure, ignore the hard work and quality of the game just because the developers wanted to give someone new a shot.

Can't wait for this game! Conroy is (the voice of) Batman, but his not returning for this installment isn't a deal breaker.

@Gmoney There are other actors who can voice Batman pretty well. Bruce Greenwood was great as Batman in Under the Red Hood and Young Justice. Also in Batman Year One, Benjamin McKimze did a great job as a young Bruce Wayne. But Conroy will be missed this time around.

@thewonderer I pretty much agree with most with what you said except calling Conroy "selfish".

Please name off the top of your head the other roles Kevin Conroy is known for.

This is the role that has made and defined his career, If he doesn't do this, then what can he do? The fact is that when you are really good at voice acting, you don't really get that many Live action offers.

Take Mark Hamill for example. The dude played Luke Sykwalker, but his career has been voice acting, when people hear Mark Hamill they think of the Joker. The only fans that don't think of the Joker when they hear Hamill's name is Star Wars fans.

It's not that he voiced Batman back in the day, he vouced Batman in the first games of the franchise. It' s like making Uncharted 3 and not let Nolan North voice Drake! Nobody does a Batvoice like Connroy, and he can do young and very old vouce as well. I can't wait to be proven wrong and have a great new voice, we'll see

Kevin Conroy is not over hyped, he is the definitive voice of Batman. Each moment I read a Batman comic it is his voice I have in my head. But I hope they get an actor who at least somewhat sounds like Conroy and don't pull a Splinter Cell Blacklist. Because the actor they got to replace Michael Ironside does not fit Sam Fisher at all.

Conroy is overhyped. I likeBruce Greenwood better (Young Justice, Under The Red Hood). Happy to see a new take.

BTW thisNew Batsuit is a much needed improvement. I'd like to see something like this live action.

@Shamo Great graphics can help a game, but it's not THAT important to a games success.

I played the first Mass Effect game I thought the Graphics were meh, and it was still one of the greatest games I've ever played.

[frick]ing looks epic, and the concept? Definitely ripe to be adapted for the next Bat film! As for Conroy? I like a lot of Bat-fans watched him growing up, but was never too fond of his Bat-voice, quite frankly it'd be nice to get some fresh blood to voice the Bat!

@ndwrestler, yes but the same can't be said in reverse because bad graphics can NEVER help a game. they can only hurt it. if the gameplays great, then thats fine. but as of now, we know nothing of its gameplay all we know is the graphics and those graphics are subpar.
